JusticeI knew I had to give some, if not all, of that money back to society somehow, but I wasn’t so sure I wanted to give all to the park, since I wasn’t sure how much I trusted their system to use it to the most good. I thought of giving it to the brothers who had the animal show on public TV in hopes to help them get all the land they wanted for their animal reserve. I thought of giving it to the Circle of Life foundation. I knew the money was from Charleston, and I knew the sad conditions of the school there. I gave it all to the school systems with the specific conditions that they use it to set up a savings funds that would help fund outdoor and nature field trips in the Charleston county school system. Most everyone thought I lost my mind. We’re all trying to work out our own knots in the tangled web of life. |
