I have had excema all my life now 20 , I was covered head to toe, itching all the time, my doctor also said I would grow out of it he was right with a little help from evening primrose capsules and bandages hydro cortisone and aqueas , emusifying cream,phenegan,(a great itching reliever butmakes you very drowsy but works)another tip is tap hot running water rub hands vigorously but only do this when your hands are really itchy, but what helped was he refered me to the hospitol at the age of 6-7, I will tell you what they did that will help and a few added tips of a lifetime of excema:-)

Breathable plastic gloves are excellent to keep your hands moisturised and to help keep them clean until they have healed ,Apply your moisturiser (aqua cream) and hydrocortisone cream (anti iflam) then place your hands in the gloves you will see a fast result over night, you can also do this all over but make sure you prepare the body first, a body scrub is best (scholl foot scrub ) exfoliate delicatly as this is tough stuff )or if sore use emulsifying cream this cleans and softens skin,then do as above you can wrap in cling film but this can get irritating so best to try out bandages do this for a week and make sure you wash it all off and reaply as said above but do not exfoliate!its best to have a few weeks off to do this as you are at school and the wounds can get infected , also a little red wine helps alot when you have that itch,
