Toyota Prius or Honda Civic Hybrid ???

I'm getting ready to buy a new car and have decided to purchase a hybrid vehicle. I was wondering if anyone had opinions on the two mass market vehicles the Toyota Prius and the Honda Civic Hybrid.

The price is about the same for me so that's not an issue.

I'm interested in performance and reliability issues.
