Hi, Donna.
I have severe Fibromyalgia but have had no symptoms since October, 2000.
This is not a joke or an exageration.
Not cured and not in remission, but am using a
controversial treatment.
A personal web page tells everything I take and do for Fibro. Nothing for sale.
Here are the basics:
1. Eye mask and ear plugs -
to block out all light and sound. Fibro folks PERCEIVE light and sound as being more important than they are. Enough that any little bit keeps us "on our toes", so we can't get to deep restorative sleep. That's why full moons are the worst weeks - just a little extra light sneaks in around your curtains.
2. Use Calcium tablets -
to neutralize Hyaluronic Acid.
HA is the natural lubricant and conditioner in every cell of our bodies. It's what makes us slick inside. In Fibro folk, it thickens up just a little like Jello. Can't pass through the membranes correctly to reach all parts of the body. Because it can't travel correctly, it can't get out correctly, either. It builds up.
Chewing calcium tablets lets the calcium bond with the HA in mouth, throat and stomach, so it is easier for it to be expelled.
Stomach acid and Hyaluronic Acid exist in the body at the same time, but do not mix. That's why Zantac doesn't help Fibro overacidity.
3. Take a decongestant -
to open up the body. A vasorestrictor shrinks the blood vessels/ tissues down to normal size, so that the pathways in between are clear.
4. Take Guaifenesin -
(a lot of people make the mistake of only doing this.) Guai is an expectorant - it helps transport the excess, thickened, neutralized HA out of the body. Be sure and drink water with it!
5. Do not drink soft drinks
(Phosphoric acid is too strong.)
Do not eat tomatoes.
Do not eat lemons - not even a piece on the side of your tea glass.
6. Taking Paxil - a Seritonin Selective Reuptake Inhibitor
medication.
You can read the entire site, and I very much hope you do.
I answer all email and phone calls personally. There is no charge for any help we give. We are just grateful to have found treatment that works.
