I haven't had time to get this on my site but here is the bad news: Dogs and their owners are about to lose the small amount of beach access we have left in Santa Cruz County.We need to act as quickly as possible to stop this proposal before it happens!

San Mercury News article stating the private land and beaches at Coast Dairies Ranch, Davenport (Boony Doon and Panther Beaches) are going to become state park land: dogs are not allowed on state park domain in San Mateo County and not much of Santa Cruz County either. Boony Doon and Panther beach are currently the only unlimited leash free beaches left in Santa Cruz County county. We will lose this area forever if we don't fight for it now, like the loss of the other beaches in San Mateo and San Cruz Counties in the past few years. San Francisco still battles the public over dogs at Ocean Beach, a never-ending fight.
