Almost a year later after his narrow-margin victory in 2000, America gripped in fear as terrorists attacked New York on September 11.
A year later, Bush deceived millions of Americans by justifying the invasion of Iraq as a means to get rid of Saddam's non-existing WMD. America continues to suffer the loss of American lives in Iraq, and yet no WMD was ever found and the real threat of terrorism from Bin Laden who is still at large exists.
The war in Iraq has significantly contributed to the rapid rise in gasoline prices and, while millions of average Americans are paying the cost, Bush continues to benefit as his family's oil business makes hundreds of millions of profits from the higher prices of crude oil in the world market.
Now almost a year later after his re-election in 2004, New Orleans is completely devastated by Katrina and America is disgraced by the U.S. Government's slow response to save lives in this catastrophe. This happened in spite of the fact that billions of taxpayers' dollars were put into Homeland Security whose job is supposedly to serve and protect Americans in times of a emergencies.
Three more years to go. What's next?
