My Englander Serenity mattress is about 28 years old. The hump in the middle probably is from the frame not being aligned. I don't know, really. However, my husband likes to sleep on the hump. It helps his back, believe it or not! We both weigh too much, so we are pleased the mattress holds up. By the way, the edges have never lost their shape. The salesman told us it wouldn't. I guess it is time for another Englander. Not really.This mattress still has soft, fluffy cloud-like support. We don't turn the mattress over. We don't switch the top to the bottom, either.
