I have the same symptoms, sleep test determined it is not an apnea, but suggested i have an additional test - a multiple sleep latency test - to test for Narcolepsy.

It's exactly like this for me. Sometimes in those minutes that i'm late, and should be at or getting ready for work I actually THINK i am AT work.

Biggest problem is, I'm in the army. This medical system is the slowest umbrella system on the market. I miss PT formations and work calls and appointments. It isn't every single day, but way too many days.

I have my husband try to get me up. Doesn't work. I set 6 alarm clocks, and either sleep straight up through them - or turn them off IN my sleep.

The worst part - no one believes me. My unit thinks i'm blowing work off. So i'm facing UCMJ charges and article 15's because "i'm lazy" and i "just don't want to get up"

It's the most horrible thing i have ever had to deal with.
