I have the identical problems as stated above it is niether sleep apnea nor narcolepsy. I two was in the Army and luckily my Girlfriend was an extremely light sleeper. I have three recomendations that work for me. 1) I bought an alarm clock for the Hearing impared that has a vibrating pad and a wierd buzzer. 2) I bought a bookshelf mini stereo system with a built in alarm clock it cost about 80 bucks at walmart with a 3 disc changer. I use that as my no return alarm clock. I also downloaded a bunch of police, fire , and ambulance sirens and made a CD of them. 3) I also purchased bright halogen lights and put them on a timer and when they go off I can not sleep through them. I have also subscribed to a wakeup call service because for some reason the phone wakes me up. This probabaly is all old news to you but I am also looking for better ways because I am waking my kids up, however in the meantime I am still keeping my job.
