I just read about the fire retardants they put in mattresses and how it can damage brain development. The story can be found on this web site at: Cause For Alarm Over Chemicals - Fire Retardants.

Luckily, there are still alternatives. Look for crib mattresses that are all natural, without chemical fire retardants. I found them on one of the sponsors of this web site: EcoChoices.
