I did purchase the Tempur-Pedic Mattress in March of '05. I'm so very glad I did!! It is the best mattress that I've ever slept on. Prior to my purchase I had asked the salesman about the smell that everyone seems to be talking about. He did say that it is possible but to just let it air out for a day or so. I had my mattress delivered in March. I removed the plastic and there was no smell whatsoever. It could be possible that there was no smell because the mattress was left out on the delivery truck overnight and it arrived frozen.........like a cinder block! Maybe that helped eliminate any possible odor. It did thaw out in a couple of hours and I've been enjoying some great sleep ever since!
