Ganesh's Cream of Lentil Soup....YUMMMMMMM

(This soup is sooo wonderful. Try it...it will become your favorites.)

1 part Red Lentil Masoor Dhal (example: 1 cup)
3 parts water (example: 3cups)
1 cup of half and half
3 tbl. of sesame oil
1 tsp. of od Ulud Dhal
1 tsp. of black mustard seeds
Khadi Pattha Leaves
Asafoitda Powder
Limes (1/2 a fresh lime for each bowl)
(you can find these ingredients in Indian markets)

TAKE the amount of red lentils as required. Add 3 times water. Boil it and when it boils lower the flame and let the lentils cook. It wiil all turn yellow and soft.
Now blend the cooked lentils in a blender but keep the consistency thick.
Add one small cup of half and half and mix it well with the blended soup.

Take a frying pan. Add 3 tablespoons of Sesame oil.
Heat it. Add one small spoon od Ulud Dhal. Let it turn golden brown.
Just before the ulud dhal trns golden brown add one small spoon of black mustard seeds. Let the mustard seeds split. Turn off the flame.
Add the fresh KHADI PATTHA LEAVES. Also add ASAFOITDA POWDER>
Now mix this with the soup and serve it hot with half of the lime next to the bowl. Just before eating, squeeze the lime juice into the soup.
