I have a pasta recipe that sounds wonderful that I am trying to make vegetarian with some substitutions. I would just omit the anchovies, but its creator says it "makes the dish". While he can not suggest a substitute, he says they do not make it taste fishy, they disappear in the dish, and lend a salty taste. Any suggestions. Thank you in advance for any advice.
