Weird.. that last post was my original post from months ago.. let's try this again!
I approached the online community with the idea of a line of wedding and prom gowns made of Hemp / Hemp-Silk, and other natural fibres a few months ago, and now I’m back.
We are still in the process of finalizing arrangements with wholesale fabric suppliers, so that we can possibly offer “ready to wear” type wedding gowns through salons and hemp-y shops.. But we have also opened up to taking custom orders. Through our research and the many emails we have received from interested customers, custom designed gowns would be preferable to the majority of people out there. To answer one of our frequently asked questions, the price range for custom gowns will start at about $350 USD, and go up from there. The average gown order we’ve been looking at so far is in the $600-700 USD range. Originally, we were planning to offer all of our gown in a hemp-silk fabric.. But at the request of our vegan clientele, we have found some 100% hemp fabrics that would be lovely for bridal wear.
Our website is at www.vanessadoyle.com . We’re in the process of making some samples, and waiting for brides to send wedding photos, so there are no photos posted yet. We are willing to recreate any “regular” wedding gown style in hemp (email us a photo), create a gown from sketches provided by a customer, or design from scratch.
