These homes and
communities are wonderful examples of how we
can all make choices in our lives that respects ourselves, others, and nature.
These homes are environmentally friendly and non-toxic alternatives to
traditional buildings. If you know
of any other sites that have Eco Homes that are not listed here, please let us know. Or,
if you have pictures of a room or home that you have made environmentally friendly, please
send us a picture and we will add it to
the gallery. You can also mail us pictures to: EcoChoices Pictures, PO Box 1491, Glendora,
CA 91740. (If you mail us a picture, please send us pictures that you don't need. We keep
them in case we need to rescan them. Thanks!)
Please click your fancy. :-)

Building With Awareness.
Devoted to the aesthetic and environmental aspects of
sustainable building materials. Its purpose is to inspire the viewer. The
featured home has been on the Albuquerque, NM, Green Building Tour for the
past two years. Some of its features are a small size, straw bale and adobe
construction, passive solar design, interior and exterior mud plaster, 100%
photovoltaic powered, and a rain water cistern to supply water for the
toilet, the washing machine, and garden. The home puts aesthetics at an
equal standing with sustainability. |
